The Peer Support Module will provide teaching on positive, non-judgmental methods of providing support. The training will include mediation and conflict resolution skills. Within group meetings, participants will be encouraged to support each other and to share their feelings.
The Parent Participation Module focuses on increasing parenting and communication skills and encouraging adults in the community to take advantage of educational and job placement opportunities. Parents will become active role models and coaches for their children.

PROJECT VALUES AND PRINCIPALS:
We value the family as the primary source of community development, individual development and growth, particularly from prenatal care through adolescence, and we believe our children are members of families, and families are members of communities. The families in Dekalb County are culturally diverse and may take many forms. Today’s families are different: We have fewer extended families, we move more, and our families experience more stresses, such as drug abuse and crime.
We value families that create caring communities for other families, which foster needs, directions and strategies by providing essential services and collaboration with other residents, agencies, the government, and businesses in establishing programs for supportive services that are accessible to families in our community.
